新时期大学生思想政治教育的现状与对策

大学生的思想政治教育在时代背景、社会环境和大学生自身素质等方面都呈现出了与以往不同的特点。大学生思想政治教育亟需深刻的改革和创新。通过分析当前大学生思想政治教育的现状以及存在的问题，提出相应的对策进行研究。     

信息技术背景下教育教学多维度创新体系研究

“互联网+”、3D打印技术为代表的信息化浪潮已经到来，创新创业教育的已经在全国展开，这既是高等教育教学的挑战，更是不可多得的机遇。为适应信息技术的需求，高等院校要未雨绸缪，及时应对，从创新体系构建信息技术要先行、教育教学创新体系构建要结合学科、专业特点进行、二级学院联动、对教师要求及激励等多个方面探讨信息技术背景下教育教学多维度创新体系。     

Enoch Powell,empires, immigrants and education

2018 marks the 50th anniversary of Enoch Powell’s infamous ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech, an intervention that is still viewed as one of the most incendiary statements of the perceived decay and violence likely to follow legislation intended to assure minoritised British citizens of equal rights regardless of their ethnic origin. In this essay, Sally Tomlinson (one of Britain’s foremost multicultural theorists) reflects on Powell’s legacy and the contemporary scene where in the US, UK and across Europe, White resentment and fear is increasingly shaping ‘mainstream’ debates about nationhood, migration and education.     

Racial witnessing and the formation of los conscientes – race critical preservice teachers

This article introduces the concept of racial witnessing – i.e. defining moments where an individual experiences a strong event in which they (or someone they care deeply about) were racialized, Othered, and/or treated differently (usually negatively) because of their racial group, racial affiliation, etc. It is these moments of racial witnessing that are pivotal in the development of los conscientes. These were the more critical-minded preservice teachers who demonstrated a greater understanding regarding race and racism and the impacts it has on the educational system and human lives. This article argues that it is not a specific variable and/or experience (such as those gained in field experiences) that creates race consciousness among preservice teachers. It is the accumulation of racial witnessing events that allow for a deeper understanding of how race dictates lives.     

Tedious: feminized labor in machine-readable cataloging

This essay examines previously unexplored IBM reports and manuals that document the development of Machine-Readable Cataloging (MARC) in the 1960s to understand gendered assumptions manufacturers made about the labor of information retrieval and to ultimately discuss the ways in which MARC transformed the feminized labor of information, making it more diffuse and shifting expectations about productivity. In the process, this essay will show that cataloging, like other forms of women’s labor transformed by technology in the latter part of the twentieth century, has a complicated relationship to the market labor and industrialization. Finally, this essay ends by connecting MARC and feminized labor to the contemporary discussion of BIBFRAME.     

Validation of the Australian Midwifery Standards Assessment Tool (AMSAT): A tool to assess midwifery competence

Background

There is no current validated clinical assessment tool to measure the attainment of midwifery student competence in the midwifery practice setting. The lack of a valid assessment tool has led to a proliferation of tools and inconsistency in assessment of, and feedback on student learning.

网络思想政治教育研究的“空间范式”

思想政治教育学科在理论研究中已经形成了多种范式。从现实社会空间向虚拟网络空间的“空间转向”，为思想政治教育新范式的形成提供了崭新的空间条件。网络思想政治教育的快速发展也为其“空间范式”的提出进行了必要的知识积累。“空间范式”凸显马克思主义公共性理论和社会空间理论的理论特性，旨在透过“空间”的维度，发展网络思想政治教育的理论和方法体系。“空间范式”的提出对于进一步凸显网络思想政治教育研究的学术旨趣，凝聚学科共识，培育知识信念，整合学术资源，建构更加专业的话语体系，形成一个影响广泛的网络思想政治教育学术共同体具有重要意义。     

新时代教师安全素质培养体系的构建

在倡导"生命至上、安全第一"的新时代，安全素质已然成为教师专业素质结构中的重要组成部分。但目前我国中小学教师安全素质水平较低，其主要原因在于校内安全教育的低效与共性化、职后安全培训的不足以及自主学习途径的缺乏。针对当前存在的主要问题，教师安全素质培养路径的优化和培养体系的构建可以从三个方面展开：首先，在职前修订师范教育人才培养标准，重建教师专业素质结构，同时调整安全教育的课程设置，协同第二课堂提升教师安全素质；其次，在职后扩大教师安全培训对象，建立"分层进阶"新模式，对安全考试合格者发放教师安全培训合格证书，调整和完善中小学校岗位安全工作指南；第三，在日常工作期间，逐步改善教师自主学习条件，积极开展安全专题类校本课程研究。     

增进学生身心健康是我国学校体育发展的根本和方向——学习贯彻习近平总书记在全国教育大会上的重要讲话精神

2018年9月10日，习近平总书记在全国教育大会上强调：“要树立健康第一的教育理念，开齐开足体育课，帮助学生在体育锻炼中享受乐趣、增强体质、健全人格、锤炼意志。”这为我国未来学校体育的发展指明了方向。学校体育要认真贯彻落实习近平总书记的重要讲话精神，把增进学生的身心健康作为学校体育工作的出发点和落脚点，切实提高学生的身心健康水平，促进学生全面发展。本文首先阐述了习近平总书记重要讲话精神的核心要义，以及所体现的以人为本的思想、高度重视把学生的健康放在首位、非常关注学生的身心协调发展等。其次，就如何落实习近平总书记的重要讲话精神提出了建设性意见：必须开齐开足体育课，保证校内外锻炼时间；提高体育课和课外体育活动的教育教学质量，加强学生的运动效果；“五育”并重，将学校体育纳入学校教育质量评价的重要组成部分；体育教师应树立强烈的社会责任感和使命感等措施和建议。     

Female labor force participation in the US: How is immigration shaping recent trends?

Women entered the paid workforce in unprecedented numbers during the 20th century. Yet recent years have been witness to a creeping reversal in women's labor force participation. Why did the revolution stall? In response to debates over a “natural” limit to women's employment, or a cultural backlash against the dual-breadwinner household, we consider an alternative explanation, namely whether immigration has slowed the growth in female labor force participation. Using CPS data from 1998 to 2018, we show that the increase in the share of immigrants and children of immigrants in the population has reduced overall female labor force participation. However, immigration accounts for relatively little of the retreat from the labor force. Instead, the compositional effect of population change is overshadowed by behavioral shifts that affect both natives and immigrants. Lower participation rates among native-born women accounts for most of the overall decline. Despite persistent differences, we also find substantial convergence in the labor force behavior of native-born and foreign-born women, which bodes well for the long-term economic incorporation of immigrants and their children.
